Dormitorium explores the macabre fantasy world of twin brothers Stephen and Timothy Quay through the highly detailed miniature sets of their influential stop-motion animations. Renowned for their unusual sources of inspiration and craftsmanship, the exhibition explores the creative process behind these surreal worlds frozen in time. 

Our type treatment reflects their working practice of deconstructing beautiful things and reconstructing in a beautifully dark and ugly way. Metallic gold ink was used to lift the piece and add a hint of luxury to contrast the heavily moody approach.
